New Zealand-born musician Nathan Seaver and Hawaii-born vocalist Emma Moore of psych-rock outfit Oceanspace are Cult Blonde. The feminist new wave side project showcases a more expressive and swaggering side to their sound, exemplified by the release of their first two singles ‘Percolator Insulator’ and new release ‘Danger’.

The latter of these singles exudes a sultry confidence and empowering sense of femme expression and sass. From the powerfully delivered vocals to the captivating, surf rock-tinged soundscape, there is an effortless coolness that permeates the sound, its mixture of live instruments and synthesizers make for a vibe that feels distinctly their own, and continues to showcase a sound that feels fresh and new.
