Askies are back with the visuals for recently released single ‘Forty-Three’
Exceeding and running away from any expectations that might have been there, Askies latest adventure ‘Forty-Three’ is their best work to date. Now back with the brand new music video for the single, the video was directed by Glynn Parkinson.
Concluding a pretty awful year on a high, ‘Forty-Three’ gives an insight to refreshing new music from Askies in 2021. With their eyes set firmly on their highly anticipate debut EP, ‘Forty-Three’ will find a way into your heart and stay there forever-more.
On the release, Askies told us, “For us we feel like the song is an explosive way to round off what been a pretty uncertain year. We feel that the song perfectly describes what we’re about and what epitomises our sound.
We feel like it’s a great way to bookend the first chapter of this band. Having set out our stall over the past 3 years, consistently releasing singles, our next plan is to release of debut EP in 2021. This song is the send off that the first chapter deserves.”
The visuals for “Forty-Three” is bathed in a nostalgic presence. Refreshingly original and showcasing the band performing the anthem live, the simplistic approach is perfect.
Sometimes bands over-do it with their music video and try to make it the best thing since sliced bread, but Askies create an easy to watch visual that illustrates that all you need sometimes is a killer song to tell the story.
An absolute banger to round off a devastating year, Askies simply save 2020.
