Turning lockdown into a time for productivity, CATBEAR return with their second single of the year ‘Girl Crush’.

Making it their fourth release since becoming a duo, ‘Girl Crush’ is bathed in nostalgic synths and unforgettable melodies.

Zoe Konez and Sarah Smith, also known as CATBEAR used these uncertain times to record ‘Girl Crush’ from their homes.

On the release, CATBEAR mentioned, “We made this single from home and actually the quiet streets of Lockdown London and the amazing weather we had influenced the summery chilled vibe on this song.

We were listening to a lot of 80s and 90s alternative pop but also loving the current pop sound of Caroline Polachek, The Japanese House and Rina Sawayama.”

‘Girl Crush’ lives in the moment and acknowledges the true feeling you get when you’re stuck in a ‘crush’.

CATBEAR use their dream-pop essence to relay how things can be through rose tinted glasses.

Longing for a friendship to become more? Girl Crush is the anthem for you.
