Singer-songwriter Ella Bee unleashes her second release to date, ‘Chardonnay’. A track that dives head first into vulnerability, the track tells the story of the aftermath of a failed relationship.
Produced alongside Lewis Campbell, ‘Chardonnay’ is the second collaboration with Lewis, who also produced Ella Bee’s debut single ‘Porcelain Doll’.

On the release, Ella Bee stated, “Chardonnay was written at one of the hardest points in my life. At a time where I felt everything was meaningless and nothing was moving forward. It’s about losing my first love, working a job that was going nowhere and how I felt as though I was stuck in a mundane, pointless routine.
I wanted to encapsulate how it feels when things change and all you want is for it to go back to how it was, but there’s nothing you can do. How sometimes it’s just easier to drink it all away and forget.”
Ella also added, “Contradictory to the subject of the song, I actually recorded it at one of the happiest points in my life, at a songwriting camp in Spain set up by one of my best friends, Natalie. I am a strong believer in turning pain into something positive, that’s actually the reason I love music so much.
It gives me an emotional outlet, I write all my songs from personal experience and when they finally come together as a finished piece it is the most rewarding feeling, they’re very sentimental to me.”
