Anglo-Swedish outfit Normal Average People unveil their debut, cross-genre EP ’The Moon Saloon’

Songwriter Sam Gillbanks and producer Emil Lloyd aka Normal Average People return with their debut EP ‘The Moon Saloon’, out worldwide August 26th. You can hear it exclusively here ahead of it’s release, and brace yourself, this is a rollercoaster ride filled with presence.

Baggy Ankles’ enters with attitude and intelligence. A track that refuses to be proven wrong or left on the shelf, ‘Baggy Ankles’ signifies that this two-piece have a post-punk side to their experimental indie songwriting.

With all the references to Pink Floyd in ‘Baggy Ankles’, it unsurprisingly feels like a Syd Barrett walk into the world of psychedelia, and we’re completely living for it.

Lemo // Memo’ walks side by side into the realm of psychedelia, but without the full vibrance. An adventurous indie number that oozes with individuality, ‘The Moon Saloon’ is an EP fuelled with unforgettable moments.

Kolla Ögon’ translated means ‘look at my eyes’, and you won’t want to look or be distracted by anything else while listening to this. The lead track on the EP struts with charm from it’s cinematic style arrangement.

As the main reason why the band are here today, the importance within ‘Kolla Ögon’ streams with fulfilment. Recorded in a small flat in Stockholm using a 10-litre tub of mayo as a bass drum, it’s incredible to hear how far this track has come.

Finishing the EP off in true NAP style, ‘Office Barnet’ features free-flowing guitar melodies, and a bold sound of aggression.

Summarising the EP, NAP stated, “The Moon Saloon is super raw and captures the sound of the space we recorded it within. It’s loud, feisty and fierce.”
