POLEMICS return with powerful new release ‘Hegemon’

Bristol based duo POLEMICS unleash their powerful new single into the world. ‘Hegemon’ follows in the footsteps of previous single ‘Halibut’, and issues a warrant… there’s no escaping the sound of mischief.

Hard-hitting and in a realm of noise rock and post-punk, ‘Hegemon’ is grunge infused and something to blow out the lockdown cobwebs. It’s like Idles met Primus, got hammered, wrote a few songs and created POLEMICS.

Polemics quote, “Hegemon is a tongue-in-cheek poke at American foreign policy circa-1945 and its subsequent consequences. We kept it simple with no-nonsense riffs that have obvious hints of our punk and black metal influences, and the end result gives the feeling of an all-encompassing barrage of artillery on the listener.”

Clearly stating there’s no stopping this band, Polemics are all steam ahead. Since July, they’ve released a debut EP, a Lockdown EP and a series of live videos. That’s one way of getting over the Lockdown blues.

While recording their debut EP ‘Conflict’, Polemics created six other tracks for possible future release. ‘Hegemon’ and ‘Woodshop’ are now seeing the light of day, and we sure hope they release the other four at some point too!

‘Hegemon’ is filled with attitude, aggression, energy and will make you miss the adrenaline of live-shows even more. Polemics clear state they are ones to stick on your gig list when all this madness is over.
