London based artist SAI reveals brand new single ‘Shame’

London based singer-songwriter and visual artist SAI (pronounced ‘say’, a backronym for Sing About It) is back with the final piece to the puzzle.

Titled ‘Shame‘, the track is taken from her forthcoming EP ‘RE<WIND’ and it’s a straight-up vibe.

Bathed in angelic R&B sensibilities, this is the ultimate break-up number where we hear SAI handling the topic with layers of sass and grace.

Telling us the origin of ‘Shame’, SAI shares, “When I wrote SHAME I wanted to talk about a break-up in an a empowering way rather than sit and cry about it.”

Layered with sultry lower tones and Mariah Carey esque vocals, ‘Shame’ is best labelled as empowering.

Produced by SAI’s long-time collaborator, 808Bhav808 and SAI are one of the strongest partnerships going.

Speaking about working with 808Bhav808, SAI states, “he just knows exactly what kind of sounds I’m gonna fall for, and I don’t often write to beats, but when he sent me this beat idea, he knew I would write to it straight away – and that’s how ‘Shame’ was born!’

“Shame” is out worldwide Friday, but you can listen to the track exclusively here at CLOUT.
