Longing for simpler times, Sophie Griffiths returns with second release of the year ‘Whole’
Essex based singer-songwriter Sophie Griffiths may only be 17, but her exceptional vocal tone and deliverance proves that age can be just a number. Known for her luscious soul-pop sound, Sophie is also known for her authentic live performances.
Having took to the stage at Latitude, Camden Assembly, Borderline and O2 Islington to name a few, the songwriter’s fanbase is ever-growing. Back with her second single of 2020, ‘Whole’ is a calming piece amidst the scary times we’re all going through.
On the release, Sophie said, ‘Whole’ highlights my yearn to return to the simple life I led as a child, without increasing responsibilities and challenges as I grow older. The lyrics acknowledge a need to feel Whole again and has taken on an additional meaning for me during lockdown.
Using a soft-pop approach, the innocent number will leave you swaying to the track’s rhythm. It’s one of those tracks that you need your flashlight on your phone, or cigarette lighter to sway to the rhythm at a live-show.
With a sense of unity during this hard time for us all, ‘Whole’ has the power to bring people together and make us all at peace. A stunning single from the young, up and coming singer-songwriter.
