Jack Grant aka the mind behind indie project The 113 debuts new single ‘Presence’

The debut single from The 113 is an infectious post-punk meets indie-rock gem all written, recorded and programmed by Jack Grant.

Titled ‘Presence‘, the track was recorded in a home studio with further mixing and mastering done by Dom Richmond and Jack Grant at Eiger Studios in Leeds.

Speaking about the new release, The 113 shares, “The track is about trying too hard to write a song, and becoming incredibly stressed and angered by the failure that follows.

The track is one which was written off the back of a long creative rut, which led to a lot of self doubt and stress. Locked in my own head.

You can hear this in lyrics ‘I’ve been shuffling my feet and I’ve been battling my presence, I’ve been searching for a method to start nurturing the present.”

Heavily inspired by post-punk bands/artists of the late 70s, early 80s, as well as more modern bands taking part in the post-punk revival, this is a timeless new single.

What a remarkable debut!
