Southamptom quartet The Dead Freights return with elevating new single “Fever and The Thunder”

Southampton based quartet The Dead Freights are known as local legends, and are set for world domination in their latest release.

Fever and the Thunder’ is a fast-paced indie anthem fusing garage and punk sensibilities together.

Recorded at Mi7 studios with Daisy Palmer (Feverist, Paloma Faith), and mixed by Josh Ager (beabadoobee) and Pete Robertson (The Vaccines), “Fever and The Thunder” serves as a rock infused contender mixed with the right attire to get you grooving onto a dance floor. Sadly, due to the Pandemic, your bedroom will have to do!

We spoke to the energetic outfit and they told us, “Big love to CLOUT for premiering ‘Fever and the Thunder’. Much appreciated. This tune is the furthest we’ve gone with the disco grunge thing.

We’re shaking up an overly sterilised generation of music and giving you something real, something that speeds up and slows down and something that reflects who we are. Fever has a thunderous ending which opens the door nicely for what’s next to come.”

Grooving into tomorrow with it’s head held high, “Fever and the Thunder” may dance on unfamiliar ground for The Dead Freights, but the anthem secures how versatile the band’s sound truly is.

Armed with the whole package, 2021 is set to be The Dead Freights’ biggest year to date, and you heard it here first.
