Copenhagen based indie-pop outfit The New Investors return with the visuals to their latest single ‘New Beginning’
Psych-pop band The New Investors launch a new beginning with their new post-apocalyptic release, and the visuals to go with it are mesmerising. Expressing themselves to literally be going through a new beginning, the duo have gone back to their original roots and unique sound on this release.
With elements of angelic surf-pop mixed with the music from the heavens ‘dream-pop’, the visuals for New Beginning gives the track a twist of psychedelia.
On the release, The New Investors told us, “We were truly hypnotized while the earth kept spinning round, we did fifteen thousand miles but we barely started.
We’ve all been soaked in and hypnotized with our wealth and hedonistic pleasures in our easy western lives to such an extent that we’ve almost lost sense of it. Now it seems we’ve finally woken up and realized that we cannot carry on like this and that this could be our chance to start over again – a new beginning.”
Starting with an illuminated heart, in which the duo stand side by side, the imagery of this showcases rebirth. As the visuals progress, the music video nudges towards the track’s meaning of ’a group of young hippies who, on top of an apocalypse, venture into the wilderness in search of a new guiding star and a new and alternative way of life far away from growth capitalism and pandemics – a new beginning.’
Using a colourful palette of warm but cold colours, the overall visuals are contagious and shows the duo in a completely different, but true limelight. A breathtaking arrangement for a intricate single.
