The Shop Window return with ethereal new release ‘Reflection’

Showcasing another side to their sound, The Shop Window unveil dream-like number ‘Reflection’. Coated with elements of jangly dream-pop, the song features fragrances of shoegaze in the mix.

As their second single to date, The Shop Window may still be in the early days of releases, but ‘Reflection’ stands out as a distinctive statement in the band’s discography.

Carl Mann (vocals and guitar) of The Shop Window mentioned, “Reflection’ was written a couple of years ago after a change in lifestyle (Nothing to do with Coronavirus lockdown, I might add). This new period gave me time to self-reflect, and take stock of what is important in life. I had the verse chords lying around for a few years, but changes in time gave birth to the lyrics and chorus.

I started to realise it’s not about focusing on the destination but all about enjoying the journey. We chose this song as our next single as it’s the opposite end of the spectrum to Mannequin Lies, our debut release. We wanted to book-end our sound and what we’re about early on in the journey.

An original number bathed with flavours of the 90’s, The Shop Window reflect purity through their latest release. Mixing honesty with emotive language ‘Reflection’ couldn’t have come at a better time. Peeping through The Shop Window, you’ll find a band that brings originality and a whole new meaning to the word ‘shoegaze’.

A song that has the ability to bring people together with it’s raw emotion, Reflection will leave you breathless with it’s touching sentiment.
