Emilia Tarrant unleashes title track and first single “Honeymoon Phase” from her forthcoming debut EP
“Honeymoon Phase” is the title track and first single from Emilia Tarrant’s forthcoming debut EP. The definition of the love heart emoji, the first release is elegant and showcases an emotive side to Emilia’s heartwarming songwriting.
Based in Winchester, this singer-songwriter may only be 19 years old but already has the world in the palm of her hand. Gaining support from Wonderland Magazine, Atwood Magazine, and having her music featured on ITV’s Love Island – Emilia’s a force to be reckoned with in the pop world.
Talking about her new release, Emilia told us, “After experiencing it first hand, I wrote ‘Honeymoon Phase’ based on the stereotypical fairy-tale beginning that most new relationships endure, and surviving the end of it. When I sat at the piano to get the emotion off my chest, the title stuck, and the lyrics just poured out of me. The song covers the struggle of growing too used to each other, the arguing, the cyclical highs and lows, and lastly, the choice we face whether the relationship is worth fighting for; whether it was love all along, or just lust after all.
For my first full studio production I worked with producer Luke Potashnick (Gabrielle Aplin) to bring the song to life. Starting with warm synths and an out of tune, dampened piano, we tried to capture the turmoil, desperation & bittersweet emotion that I felt when I first wrote the song.”
“Honeymoon Phase” is intimate and personal. Something that everyone goes through at some stage in a relationship, Emilia hits the nail on the head with it’s somber feeling.
Out worldwide tomorrow, if this track doesn’t get Emilia’s name in lights, the world is crazy. This lady deserves the whole world, and ‘Honeymoon Phase’ clearly states that.
