Walk ‘Safely’ into the arms of Ruben Dawnson’s captivating new single
Norway based young songwriter Ruben Dawnson unveils vulnerable yet honest new contender, ‘Safely‘.
A comforting song that was entirely written, recorded and produced by Ruben in his bedroom, ‘Safely’ is a raw, bedroom-pop number with layers of charisma.
With a hefty amount of streams on Spotify alone, Ruben sits at over 1.5 million streams and is quickly becoming a leading voice in the playlist industry.
On the release, Ruben Dawnson explains, “Safely started off with the whistle melody suddenly appearing in my head while I was out driving. I think it was the summer of 2019 or something. So I rushed to the studio and immediately started creating.
I probably laid down the whole foundation of the song within an hour or so. Then it took almost two years to finish writing it, and I kept saving it for the «perfect time». Hopefully that time is now, and I hope people will enjoy it as much as I have been doing the last weeks!”
Since the release of his debut EP, he has signed with Norwegian independent label GEMS, and has worked on his second EP, scheduled for release this year.
