DD Allen encounters the time that affected us the most in enchanting new single ‘Paper Masks’
Telling the story that we’ve all been through over the past eighteen months, DD Allen’s new single ‘Paper Masks‘ is relatable, to say the least.
Capturing the essence of events that impacted deeply throughout the global pandemic, DD focuses energy and attention on a story that cuts to the core.
Co-produced with Dave Griffiths, ‘Paper Masks’ was further mixed by Barny Barnicott (Sam Fender, Kasabian).
Speaking on the creation behind Paper Masks, DD explains, “2020 and 2021 divided opinions, stoked a disconnect across generations and bought racial tensions to a peak. But at the end of the day, we’re all in this together.
I wanted Paper Masks to reflect the turmoil. And carry a message that whoever we are, whatever we do, if we pass the buck on responsibility then karma wins the sweepstakes.”
Detailing how there is always light at the end of the tunnel, DD’s signature track is bathed with swooning vocals, a synth-led guitar melody and the permanent sense of euphoria.
“Paper Masks drops worldwide tomorrow, and it’s a real contender in DD’s back catalogue.
