Following on from the anthemic, CLOUT championed ‘Oh’, TEOSE showcase a more abrasive and confrontational side of their sound on new release ‘What’s Going On?’.
The track highlights the conflict faced when coming to terms with aspects of yourself that you don’t particularly like. Writer/producer Melissa Brisbane pulls no punches with her self-aware and often critical lyrics as she address the lack of control or even acknowledgement that she can have in certain situations. Paired with the outfit’s grungy, alt-rock leaning sound, it makes for a package that feels volatile but not without its more melodic and catchy moments.
