The anthemic track is the outfit’s first release of 2022.
New York husband and wife duo Bad Bloom have been a steady presence over the last few years, establishing and honing their unique brand of emotional, fuzzy dream pop.
The latest release from Kate Rogers and Jay Trovato is ‘Remnant’, a track driven by its emphatic guitars and the soaring, other-worldly quality of Kate’s vocals. The track is nostalgic at heart, immersed in memories of the past and times where we were young and things were more carefree and simple. There is a really distinctive atmosphere created here that feels almost as if the track resembles a memory that has faded and blurred over time, as sounds can feel distorted and almost like they’re fading away as you hear them. ‘Remnant’ is a really unique track that does a stellar job of continuing to showcase the nuances of Bad Bloom’s sound while showcasing the boundless creativity and outside the box nature of their thinking and guile.
“Getting older, you think about the time in life when things were so light and fun, living without fear of the future,” shares singer/bassist Kate Rogers. ‘“this song captures the emotion that comes with growing up, learning about life, and taking chances.”
