LA singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Emmalee Rainbow has followed up her 2020 debut release ‘Love In May’ with the thoughtful new three-track release ‘Origin’.
The lead track from this release is a gorgeous and autobiographical new single about her family and the experiences that she has had growing up as a child actress in Los Angeles. There are some heavy moments here, especially within the lyrics, but the stellar vocals of the artist and the thoughtful manner in which the track is put together and articulated makes for a rousing and inspiring journey. Emmalee Rainbow is an artist that has a really distinctive perspective and a lush, transcendent sound that sets her apart as someone worth sitting up and paying attention to. By the time that ‘Origin’ meets its soaring, cathartic climax, it is hard work to not find yourself pulled along for the ride.
