Based in London but with many of the members having roots in Portugal, Lusa Morena boast a multi-faceted sound that feels saturated in culture, buoyed by singer Bárbara Almeida’s delicate lyrics that pang with a real sense of melancholy and honesty. ‘Where Is The Spark (If Not In You)’ is a track that serves as a backlash to people who try to dismiss or minimalise other peoples issues or struggles, culminating in a hopeful message about finding a way out of your depression and digging yourself out of the hole you’re in.
