The track details the artist’s pain and anger following the death of their father.
Channelling a real sense of intensity and pent up energy throughout, latest Justice Cow single ‘Unrelenting’ has a palpable sense of rawness and tension that runs through its core throughout.
There are imperfections and blemishes on the track that just seem to add to its atmospheric feel, with an impending sense of volatility coursing through the veins of a track that threatens to collapse and explode into chaos at any moment. The sheer emotional weight and catharsis of the track as it continues to descend into depths of anguish and pain bleeds through the sound and makes for a transfixing and powerful listening experience, making for a graphic and often troubling journey that you can seem to pull yourself away from. ‘Unrelenting’ probably isn’t for the faint-hearted, but between the darkness of the alternative rock sound and the increasingly escalating vocals, there is something very human and real about the expression of pain and anger that feels raw and resonating.
“This song carries the pain residue left over when my dad died.” Justice Cow says of the track. “He was an alcoholic and refused to get any sort of medical care. There was a lot unsaid and a lot of hope lost when he became so sick, there was no getting better. I get to let out a fair amount of anger and frustration in the graphic details and the ending swell.”
