The track follows the release of ‘Downtown Operation’, their only single of 2023
As they explore the struggles and pitfalls of being an independent, touring band, Edinburgh brothers Dubinski continue to highlight the distinctive charm and sense of personality that has drawn so many to their sound and the authenticity and rawness that give it such a profound impact.
The band have seemingly been through the ringer when it comes to some of these touring experiences, such is life generally for these kinds of bands, but the way they write about it feels almost romantic moreso than bitter, owing to the flair and scrappy charm that the band possess in abundance. The overall tone of the sound is one of aspiration, of dreaming of bigger things, bigger stages, bigger cities, and their sound certainly feels like one that deserves such a spotlight.
Speaking of the new track, singer Eugene says, “This is a song written about driving from Edinburgh to London to play shows with no idea of what to expect. We were DIY and trying to push our touring as much as we could, only to be occasionally ripped off by venues and promoters, or playing to rooms of people that didn’t seem to give a damn about the music or the scene, to then make the long journey back home to Scotland”
