The track sees the artist vulnerably exploring some of her darkest mental battles
On her immersive new single ‘If I Was No More’, Luna Keller takes a cathartic and powerful journey through some of her darkest moments, allowing the introspective German singer-songwriter to showcase some of her signature emotive and poignant songwriting and continue to highlight the deftness of her sound.
There is an air of defiance and perseverance that runs throughout the track however, and it is the fighting spirit that the artist shows in spite of her circumstances that makes it feel so rousing to listen to and connect with. Her vulnerability and honesty when delving into themes like suicidal thoughts and depression is as refreshing as it is eye-opening, and the atmospheric way that the artist depicts this battle within herself feels as compelling as it is inspiring to see her continue to fight on and survive.
“Putting words to what I was feeling was a big step for me in my mental health journey, and “If I Was No More” helped me see myself and realize that I needed help.” Luna Keller says of the single. “In the end, despite being a heavy song it really is a declaration that I want to live despite the weight upon me. The last verse turns it around with “I am once more”. I gave those thoughts space to realize that they are not what I want.”
