Rising LA-Based musician and songwriter Maddie Ballard is somebody that we have held in high-regard here at CLOUT since the moment that we were exposed to her distinctive and thoughtful sound and style, and the artist has done a really great job of proving us right for throwing our faith and acclaim behind her consistently with her creative and charismatic output.
Somebody who can’t be attributed with doing the same are some of the teachers and mentors that the artist has had in her life, as she explores on her new single ‘Go Pinky!’. The track sees the artist delving into how growing up, she was sometimes told that music wasn’t for her, and had to show the resolve and mental clarity to forge her own path regardless, making for a resonating and relatable release for anybody who has been made to feel less-than or like they’re wasting their time. As always, Maddie’s distinctive fingerprints are all over the quirky soundscape and thoughtful songwriting, showcasing even further what a talented and invigorating addition to modern music the artist is growing into.
