The artist’s latest single ‘Stay’ is a powerful rendition of a track initially made famous by Jennifer Nettles, delving into the pain and hardship that comes with a relationship that has reached its breaking point, with the artist at this point imploring her significant other not to leave. There is a really moving and emotional feel to the track throughout, both thanks to the writing and the fully committed and heart-wrenching vocal performance that Brooke gives it, making for a really powerful and absorbing listening experience throughout.
“Stay” is about a woman’s journey to finding her inner strength,” says Brooke Moriber. “That’s a theme I always try to reflect in my own songwriting. Jennifer Nettles has been such a huge influence on me as a singer, so after covering this song live for a while, I knew it was time to bring my own voice to it in the studio.”
