The moving new track sees the artist joined on vocals by Jake Scott
Over the last few years, engrossing indie pop artist Rosie Darling has been establishing her thoughtful songwriting and flowing melodies with invariably captivating effect, building a catalogue of tracks that showcase her rousing charm and innate talent.
The artist’s latest single ‘Roomful of People’ sees the artist teaming up with Jake Scott to craft an immersive narrative about not being able to leave someone behind, finding yourself tied to them and unable to stop thinking about them no matter what you do or try. It is a bittersweet and often heartbreaking feeling but one that feels cathartic and real throughout, with the artist’s signature sense of authenticity bleeding through the track in poignant fashion.
Rosie Darling shares, “‘Roomful Of People’ is about the act of trying to move on but still feeling the connection to someone that feels impossible to let go of despite your efforts to leave them behind. I think everyone has been there at some point in life where you walk into a room and there is someone there who knows you better than anyone, but you’re not as close anymore or you broke up. It’s a bittersweet feeling and I wanted to capture that in this song.”
