Coming off the back of two stellar singles towards the tail-end of 2024, Ella Jinks is an artist on an incredible run of form as of late, expanding upon an excellently poised and composed indie-folk sound that is packed full of the artist’s distinctive charm and the resonating appeal of her songwriting.

The artist’s brand new single ‘The In Between’ is a track that explores themes like self-sabotage and the seemingly endless negative cycles that we can often find ourselves caught up in, utilising a more progressive and expansive sound that sees it open up her sonic tapestry in a way that feels inviting and warm. In the lead up to her upcoming new EP of the same name, the new song, along with the two previously released singles, do more than enough to convince you that something special is on the horizon, and the nuance and charm that the artist has made her calling card feels more pronounced than ever.

“The In Between,” the title track of my upcoming EP, is a song about self-sabotage and staying trapped in negative cycles.” Ella says of the single. “It reflects on how, at times, it feels easier to remain stuck than to make those important changes. Writing this song was a moment of realisation for me of just how stagnant I felt in various parts of my life at the time.”
