Armed with a distinctively soulful brand of indie pop that she dubs that feels both nostalgic and exciting, Paris Pick is an artist who feels entirely in her own lane, delving into thoughtful themes surrounding feelings like love, longing and introspection with the kind of flair and charismatic charm that feels infectious.

The artist’s latest single ‘The Things That You Do’ is a wonderful showcase of everything that makes the artist feel exciting, melding feelings of longing and sadness with a more carefree aesthetic to create a sound that contradicts itself while feeling fun and charming in a way that aims to mask this bittersweet nature that lies beneath. The optimistic exterior makes for a really fun listen throughout though, and makes for a resonating listen for anybody who has found themselves feeling just a little bit lost following a breakup.

On the inspiration behind the track, Paris Pick shares; “This is a song about love that needs no explanation—it should just be obvious. I wrote it during a turbulent time in my life, right after a major breakup. While it might sound like an optimistic love song, for me, it came from a place of frustration as I tried to process the unraveling of my relationship. Writing this track was my way of turning that sadness into something more carefree and hopeful. Deep down, I was longing for love to be effortless—no words necessary.”
