Coupdekat says of the track, “soda pop! is a conversation with my anxiety. I have periods of intense overthinking and I battle regularly with my inner monologue. soda pop! personifies these feelings. I was super inspired by the anime ‘Words Bubble Up with Soda Pop’ which follows two teens who have trouble communicating. Instrumentally, Luca Dixon and I took inspiration from The Radio Dept, The Sundays and Kevin Abstract.”
