With the release of their new single ‘Days After Days’, Exeter trio Soot Sprite have continued to showcase the dynamic and engrossing feel of their distinctive brand of alternative indie in the lead up to their upcoming debut LP Wield Your Hope Like A Weapon, a release that looks set to take the outfit to new heights.

The new single explores the increasingly difficult times that many of us are facing as of late, and the need to recognise the small victories and minor wins that we achieve along the way in order to keep our heads above water and continue doing whatever good we can. It is a really important and resonating message that packs a powerful punch when paired with their engrossing, shoegazy sound that does a great job of accompanying the emotion and drive portrayed through the lyrics and vocal delivery.

“It’s about facing the endless horrors of the world and remembering to pay attention to the good.” Singer and guitarist Elise Cook says. “People on the ground, activism, and remembering that we shouldn’t be hardened by everything we witness or we can lose empathy. And it feels like without empathy we’ll never be able to achieve class consciousness, and lose our sense of community.”
