Armed with a fierce alternative rock sound that serves as the sonic representation of the moment that reach your breaking point and decide that it’s time to retaliate to whatever is going on in your life and holding you down, Ramonda Hammer are a band that have this raw, emotional core to their sound that is known to resonate with listeners in dynamic and cathartic fashion.

The band’s latest single is ‘Eyelash’, a track that embodies the kind of intensity and drive that the band have grown known for, but with a more intentional and in your face style that ups the intensity in powerful fashion. The track delves into the depths of a doomed relationship, littered full of fake promises and lies that bubble up and fester before eventually coming to the surface. Their sound and style mesh with this narrative perfectly, making for a release that flickers with intensity and resentment throughout, as liberating and freeing as it is impactful.

“Eyelash” was originally a silly place-holder name, but we ultimately kept it once the essence of the song revealed itself.” The band’s Devin Davis says. “In what seemed like a blink of an eye, the hope for my relationship was gone. It was one of those relationships built on false promises, where every moment felt fragile and laced with tension. In general it’s about the slow burn of coming to realize that something is really wrong but not yet having the words for it—until hitting a breaking point, which, for me, was both devastating and cathartic.
