The new single is the second from their upcoming self-produced album Pop Couture
Following the announcement of their upcoming debut album Pop Couture later this year, UK indie rock quintet Youth Sector keep pushing and building momentum with the release of their wonderfully synthy and impactful new single ‘Buy For Less’, a relentless, stream of consciousness single that takes aim at the increasing slew of grifters and chancers that seem to be infiltrating society as of late.
Sonically, the track offers all of the skittish fun and unpredictability that the band offer, and it pairs really nicely with a narrative surrounding the pitfalls of modern life and how overwhelming everything can often feel in the digital age. There is a sense of sensory overload and everything hitting you at once that comes with both the sound and the situations that they explore throughout the track, and they do a great job of holding up a mirror to the world around us and creating that overwhelming and difficult task of trying to cut through all of the bullshit and nonsense in order to find a sense of catharsis and liberation.
