With the release of her first official remix  ‘Speed Racer (Anna-My Radical Dance Remix)’, rising Stockholm DJ/producer Anna-My has immediately positioned herself as a captivating and innovative artist who’s groovy, bass-heavy style has breathed new life and offered a new perspective to the track from Brazilian funk icon Fernanda Abreu’s groundbreaking 1990 debut album, SLA Radical Dance Disco Club.

The artist’s boundary pushing, experimental style makes for a remix that gives the track a fun new edge 35 years on from its initial release, giving it this hypnotic, house-influenced feel to it that feels both captivating and atmospheric while also playful and fun, making for this multi-faceted and engrossing result that confounds expectations and gives its funk-laden and enduring appeal a brand new exciting coat of paint.

“I’ve loved this song for so long, it’s been a staple in my sets for years.” Anna-My says. “Getting to release this one together with Fernanda herself is such an honor. I sent her an early draft of the remix idea last year and was over the moon when she replied and went into the studio in Rio to re-record some vocals and baseline for it. This is my little tribute to her!”
