Since emerging last year, Brighton alternative duo Hell Hotel have been establishing themselves as one of the most exciting rising bands in the UK music scene, exuding a rawness and catharsis in their sound that has an authenticity and drive to it that really resonates with you as a listener.

That has never been more true than on their soul-baring new single ‘promises.’, a track packed full of intensity and hard-hitting rhythms and lyrics in equal measure. Thematically, the track explores the sensation of realising that your relationship is doing you more harm than good, and the push and pull that comes with struggling to get yourself away, even when you know it is for the best. The impactful nature of their sound and the emotion that comes from the vocals of both Demi and Tom make for a visceral listening experience that leaves a memorable and fierce impression.

Speaking about the new single, Tom shares: “promises. is collectively our favourite Hell Hotel song to date. It truly captures all the elements we take inspiration from such as early 2000s emo and contemporary post-hardcore, blends it all up, and wraps it neatly into the most heartbreaking moment in our discography. ‘Nightmares are dreams too’ is a concept that truly underpins all the music we’ve released so far this year – you can’t have the light without the darkness.”

Demi adds: “This song is where I bare my soul more than ever before, laying it all on the line and letting my heart speak without filter or fear. It holds a kind of raw, unfiltered emotion that we’re both deeply proud of. I hope it invites listeners to sit with their feelings, to explore the depths of who they are, and to reflect on how far they’ve come.”
