Acclaimed for the emotional depth and captivating appeal that has characterised their sound, UK indie rock band Fright Years have been steadily building up a reputation as one of the region’s most capable and consistent bands over the last few years, carving out a sound that is packed full of heart and dynamism along the way.

Their latest single ‘Wait For Nothing’ is a track that sees the band grappling with mortality and aiming to find some kind of comfort in the fact that we still have time to pursue the things we love and aim to be the best version of ourselves. There is an energy and a sense of drive within the sound that feels palpable and rousing, almost like they are willing you on to push towards the things you want in the same way, making for a listening experience that feels galvanising throughout, and one that melds urgency with depth and intimacy.

“’Wait For Nothing’ is about finding comfort in mortality,” explains frontwoman Kelly. “It’s a realisation that life is short, and a call to devote yourself to your passions despite fear. Writing the lyrics felt like a personal pep talk: focus on what matters make the changes you need, and pour your energy into the things you love.”
