Theatrical, ambitious, and armed with a flair for the dramatic and unexpected, emerging UK art-pop duo The Incident burst onto the scene late last year with their debut single ‘All The Kiddies Doin Drugs’, and have continued to build up a head of steam with the release of their sophomore release ‘Red Flag Ruby’.
The track has more than a hint of The Black Parade about it, borrowing from the melodramatic and over-the-top nature of My Chemical Romance’s era-defining release and putting their distinctive spin on it in confident and assured fashion. Everything from the spellbinding orchestral arrangement, to the expansive and dynamic nature of their vocals, to the sheer ambition and sense of scope that the track possesses feels perfectly poised and packed full of ambition and life, and we can’t wait to hear what else the duo have in store in the near future and how they continue to expand upon their sound.
