The track follows the release of recent singles ‘STIFFY’ and ‘CHEERLEADER’
A rising Canadian artist with a charming alternative pop sound and enough personality and guile to really cut through, Loviet is somebody who has been celebrated here at CLOUT and beyond for her hard-hitting and resonating approach and the ambitious scope of her style.
The artist’s latest single ‘PLUSH’ is a track that leans into the more indie rock aspects of her sound, with dynamic instrumentation making for a soaring and impactful listen to that looks to articulate the intensity of falling in and out of love and the toll that it has on you. This makes for a relatable listen that hones in on some of the realities of being self-aware as we lose ourselves in pursuit of love and affection, and makes for a really engrossing journey as a result.
“I wrote this song about the frenzy of falling in love and my own experiences and insecurities that being soft is inherently more attractive as a woman.” Loviet says of the track. “The narrative is a battle of yearning and self-awareness; Figuring out what lengths you’re willing to take while trying to stay true to yourself despite the emotional chaos of wanting someone.”
