The track is from the fledgling UK artist’s debut EP I Killed an Angel
A completely DIY venture that afforded the artist with complete creative control and autonomy, taking charge of all of the producing, writing, and singing, Liverpool artist Alvey’s debut EP I Killed an Angel is a powerful showcase of the artist’s distinctive vision for his sound and style and one that leaves a memorable mark on you as a listener.
The EP explores some difficult times in the artists life, and takes on a gradual tonal shift that seamlessly transitions from light to dark as it progresses. The track that we have singled out for praise is ‘DIRTY’, a moody and at times hypnotic-feeling release that comes towards the tail end of the EP when things are well and truly shrouded by the darkness. The track managed to feel both emotional and despondent, with Alvey looking to detach himself to his emotions and feelings and creating a track that perfectly articulates this through its style and his delivery.
