A rising UK band who are rapidly earning acclaim and respect for the wildly creative and unconventional nature of their sound, Hartlepool’s Crescent blew us away earlier in the year with the release of the expansive Milogather Parts 1 & 2, and their new single ‘Sin Again’ sees them continuing to build momentum.

The new single has an unsettling and unpredictable feel to it throughout, with their psychedelic flavour and off-kilter riffs making for a rollercoaster ride that melds the harsh and the soft and the restrained and the cathartic. The band do a great job to ensure that you never get to grips with the track’s structure, adding to the sense of unease alongside haunting, almost tortured vocals that plead for forgiveness in theatrical and intense fashion. Crescent are a band who have immediately established themselves as being unlike anybody else with their free-flowing, unconventional structures and the sheer craft and artistry that they pour into their sound, and it is going to be exciting to see what else is on offer with the impending release of their debut EP Lamentations on April 3rd.
