The track showcases the artist’s dramatic and theatrical tendencies in compelling fashion
At CLOUT it is no secret that we are huge supporters of Ava Valianti and the creative young artist’s heartfelt and thoughtful output, championing her as one of the brightest shining lights of an emerging generation of artists that are holding onto the authenticity and rawness that can be found in music and offering the antidote for everything that feels manufactured and fake.
The artist’s new single ‘Birthday Cake’ sees the artist taking on an opposing stance to the one she actually has, imagining a world where you’re somebody who dreads their birthday and sees it as a reminder that their life and their time is passing them by and they are one step closer to realising that nothing is going to turn out okay. There is a real nuance to the sound and the thoughtful way that it comes together, and the chorus does a great job of feeling catchy and immersive while having such a daunting layer of sadness to it, continuing to highlight the compelling depth and appeal of Ava’s style.
