With their release of their debut EP Telling Stories, following the their encouraging two initial singles ‘The Release (Now it’s over) and Song for a Diva’, ALLEY the band continues to expand upon their distinctive take on modern alternative rock, armed with a vibrant sound that is packed full of energy and drive.
A standout track from the EP is the reflective ‘Watching You Leave’, a track that serves as a thoughtful look back on a relationship that has fallen apart, packed full of dynamic instrumentation and particularly hard-hitting and engrossing guitars throughout. This mesh of emotionally charged, thoughtful writing and more alternative focussed instrumentation makes for a really great contrast and offers some really compelling moments as the track progresses, and it serves as a great introduction to the EP as a whole.
