Instantly captivating and packed full of upbeat indie pop charm, latest Trevor Phelps single ‘Home Now’ is a stylish and catchy take on the infectious indie anthems of the mid-noughties, providng the genre with a fresh, modern sheen that feels as forward-thinking and exciting as it does nostalgic.

This sense of nostalgia lends itself really nicely to the narrative too, with the track built around the idea of growing up and the times and experiences that we had that we thought would never end. It is an often bittersweet and sombre subject matter, but one that looks back fondly, with the hook-driven and revitalising nature of the sound ensuring that it feels light and breezy throughout. ‘Home Now’ is a track for anybody who wants to look back with a smile, and filter through these memories and formative experiences in a way that feels authentic and charming throughout.

“My friends, the places we grew up, the routines that once felt permanent, suddenly they all became memories. I started writing these songs because I wanted to capture that feeling as honestly as I could before it faded. That’s what I wanted Home Now to be,” says Trevor.
