On his latest effort, Zac Pajak strips back his sound and showcases his soulful sensibilities
Following on from the success of excellent singles ‘Again’ and ‘Not Around’, Zac Pajak has continued his stellar run of form on ‘Retrograde’.
The track is a stripped back, minimalist work of art. There is a subtle electronic atmosphere to the track that gently compliments its delicate guitars and the solo artists warm vocals.
“Retrograde carries a bittersweet message about moving on and always looking forward in a relationship – even if you risk the chance of going in the wrong direction and perhaps drifting apart.” Zac told us of the track. “It’s all about trusting the journey. My debut EP ‘Early Hours’ is coming soon and all tracks in some way talk about the up’s and downs of relationships, holding on to love and learning when it’s right to let go.”
The track is swathed in nuance and emotion, and provides another string to the bow of an artist that is quickly picking up a lot of steam. There is contemporary pop appeal in spades in Zac’s work, and we’re eager to see how far his sound can take him.
‘Retrograde’ is pulled from Zac’s upcoming debut EP Early Hours, and if his work so far is anything to go off, we could be in for something remarkably special.
