Hailing from Los Angeles, NOA is a true gem and one of R&B’s best kept secrets. Now the rising singer-songwriter returns with her new single ‘Motions’.
Written alongside her good friend Jonathan Asperil – who had his turn at production and guitar on the track – ‘Motions’ has quite the bittersweet edge only made more potent by Noa’s understated vocal. Despite its sultry yet perky R&B sound, the track was inspired by some heartache on Noa’s part.
“I wrote “Motions” on Valentine’s Day last year, on a cloudy day back in LA for the first time following a breakup,” shares Noa of how the track came to be. “Being back in the city that felt like him made me think about all the peaks and valleys of our relationship, the good and the bad.
“We’re only human and it’s normal to go through the motions of an old relationship.”
