How long have you been making music?

I started singing when I was 8 and I released my first album when I was 11! So about 4.5 years

Why do you make music?

I enjoy it. I love learning to sing a song and hearing what it sounds like when we’ve recorded it. I love working with other people who enjoy music too, doing that really inspires me.

What are your biggest influences?

Singer / songwriters, independent artists and fashion

What would you say has been your best moment so far?

Last year I won ‘Artist of the Year’ (Young Adult) at the ‘Josie Music Awards’ in Nashville. There were thousands of entries and standing in the famous circle, at the iconic Grand Ole Opry to collect the award was incredible. The ‘Josie Music Awards’ are one of the biggest in the world for independent artists and being from the UK but being recognized in the USA was very rewarding and motivating too.

How would you describe your sound to somebody unfamiliar with it?

I’m not sure how I’d describe it to be honest  but I read lots of comments that people leave on my songs on YouTube and they say it is soulful, emotional, relaxing and uplifting, someone said once it was like a musical hug! I love singing pop ballads, people tell me they suit my voice and they like listening to me sing them and to me, that’s the whole point.

What’s your dream “I’ve made it” moment?

To stand on a stage and have something important to say, inspiring and influencing other people through my music to leave a lasting impact on them through my songs and how I sing them.

We love your new single ‘Days Like These’, what more can you tell us about it?

I wanted to do a cover version of a song that’s not as well-known as songs I’ve done before. ‘Days Like These’ was suggested by a producer I’ve worked with and it was a weird time for me and my family too. The song was written by Grammy winner Janis Ian and it’s about having things taken away from you but realising you’ve got qualities and skills and talents and gifts that are unique to you and that no-one can ever take away, no matter what. I thought that was a great way to look at bad things differently and turn them into something more positive too.

What else do you have planned for the near future?

I met a singer / songwriter recently, his name’s Henry and we wrote a song together, I was his apprentice! He wrote a lot of it, I wrote as much as I could and we’re going to record it. That’s when I’ll do more of the work, so it feels like a fair exchange! I’d like to get more involved in song writing but I still need more practice so I’ll keep learning by writing with whoever will write with me. I’ve a Christmas song out on the 29th November and I’ve recorded a Chappell Roan cover that I’ll release early next year and it’s not ‘Good Luck Babe’! I’m very lucky to have met Chappell Roan, I watched her perform this song in a small venue in 2023 and that’s what’s inspired me to record it, her talent is off the scale.

And finally, who is your biggest fan right now?

It’s all the wonderful people who have stuck with me while my voice changed. They supported me when I sang in my higher voice and they still support me now. I sounded completely different a few years ago and I really appreciate EVERYONE that still plays my songs even though I don’t sound the same any more, thank you!
