On their latest single ‘Stand Together’, Swedish/American alt-pop duo 7000apart continue to showcase the immersive and emotionally charged sound that has seen them garner such plaudits over the last few years.
The track was written about the presidential election of 2020, and serves as something of a rallying cry to implore people to stick together and be there for each other. Amelie Eiding’s impassioned vocal performance does a great job of accentuating this point, and are supplemented expertly by the thoughtful, steady soundscape of multi-instrumentalist Jon Kresin. 7000apart have often been characterised by the cathartic and comforting nature of their sound, and this track is just the latest example of how sublimely it all comes together.
