The track forms half of her new two-track single Hero/Island
Ever on the forefront of the cutting edge and exciting, Alice Merton has returned with a two-track single entitled Hero/Island.
The first of these tracks, ‘Hero’, is a rousing new release that continues to showcase the dynamic alt-pop appeal of the star. Alice feels as fierce and commanding as ever on the new release, showing strength and defiance on a track that is about having anything but. “Everything I felt in the last year was summed up in the first two sentences of the song,” Alice said of “Hero.” “It’s about the conflict of wanting something so bad, but realizing you just don’t have the strength to fight for it anymore. It talks about the discrepancy of wanting to be someone’s everything, and at the same time wishing they meant nothing to you.”
