The track closes the huge artist’s excellent new album S.I.D.E.S.
Alice Merton is an artist who was propelled to mega-stardom with the release of her debut album Mint, and with its follow up S.I.D.E.S out now, all signs point to the artist continuing to compound that success.
The focus track, and closer on the album is ‘The Other Side’, a rousing track that sees the artist showcasing a pumping, synth-laden side to her sound, feeling both inescapably catchy but packed full of power and emotion. Alice’s dreamy and captivating vocals, as usual, provide a stellar centerpiece for the release. ‘The Other Side’ is a defiant and empowering note to sign off her latest LP on, and tells a tale of an artist who has brushed off her adversity and is now as strong as ever.
Alice says, “The last two years have been challenging for everyone in some way or another. Friends and family were lost, lockdowns were enforced, and our mental strength had been tested to its limit. S.I.D.E.S. tells the story of what I experienced during this time.”
