Boasting a sound that has a vintage 80s synth-rock feel but with a more contemporary cutting edge, Australian duo Alta Falls are an outfit that are building a growing following, and when listening to their output its hard to argue with why.

The outfit have been prolific since their 2021 debut, releasing a slew of singles that have garnered acclaim. Latest release ‘Trust Me’ is a track that oozes with a nostalgic, retro sheen, anchored by its synth-laden, feelgood nature. There is a real storytelling feel to the track, and the way that the track masterfully mirrors the story, rising and falling with its narrative, makes for an immersive experience that feels as thoughtful as it does catchy.

The lyrics on ‘Trust Me’ were inspired after a bittersweet trip to the 2017 AFL Grand Final. “My team, the Adelaide Crows, were in their first grand final after almost 20 years, and my hopes were riding high to achieve a childhood dream of watching them win a flag,” explains lead singer, Nathanael. “Unfortunately it wasn’t to be. And although it was a heartbreaking result there are still plenty of fond memories, including taking in the post-match The Killers concert along with the other half of Alta Falls, Matt.”
