The track is the outfit’s second release of the year following ‘Stay Pony, Golden Boy’.
Following on from the crushing heaviness of ‘Stay Pony, Golden Boy’, post-hardcore/emo outfit AM0RA showcase the more melodic side to their sound on the thoughtful new release ‘Shutter’.
The track still channels the outfit’s signature intensity but showcases it in a much more restrained and building manner, choosing to rely on the emotion of the vocals and lyrics to guide the track rather than pure impact alone. There are some really rousing moments here, as aspects of 00s emo and post-hardcore are interspersed with the more cutting edge and modern style of the outfit, making for a sound that feels both familiar and searingly fresh and exciting.
