On their third single, Amos Waits continue to showcase their nuance and guile.
On their first three releases, Amos Waits have established thoughtful and entirely unique sound that has this effortlessly captivating, almost loungy feel, both laid-back and intense, dripping with a cool modern appeal and sense of style.
The latest single from the project is ‘Berlin Blue’, named after the antidote for heavy metal poisoning and also a deep and historic colour pigment. The track reimagines this concept as something of an antidote to modern day gaslighting, as it battles with the anxiety and harm that mixed signals and gaslighting can often cause. Despite these narrative struggles, sonically the track has this effortlessly soft quality that feels irresistible and alluring, making for a really slick juxtaposition that only serves to make ‘Berlin Blue’ all the more interesting and nuanced.
